Sleep Creeps Now
Sleep creeps now
Ink dribbles and dries
Upon pages
The moon wanes
Darkening a dark night
Sleep creeps now
When images fantastic collide
With waking, walking memory
Pillows give
To the iron weight of heads
Sleep creeps now
Into worlds imagined
And others unimaginable
Beasts prowl in long grasses
Sap seedlings sprout into trees
Heavy clouds blot the room
Distant voices invocate
Sleep creeps now
Adventure awaits
